Запрещенные за порнографию фото родов оправдали

Фото, сделанные в процессе родов, идентифицировали как порнографию, поскольку они демонстрировали женские половые органы и грудь рожениц. Запрет представлял трудности для работы Ролласон, снимающей роды на заказ с 2011 года.

Селена, мать четверых детей, считает, что сексуализация процесса родов недопустима, потому что роды — естественный процесс.

«Запретив эти фотографии, Instagram говорил, что нехорошо просвещать женщин о реалиях рождения и показывать им, что это не то, чего нужно бояться»,

— считает фотограф. Она полагает, что благодаря открытой демонстрации родов в социальных сетях эта тема перестанет считаться табуированной.

Против запрета публиковать снимки родов в 2017 году выступила Кэти Вигос, автор Instagram-проекта «Проект расширения прав и возможностей», где процесс и результат родов публикуется без прикрас.

Активистка создала петицию против цензурирования фото, демонстрирующих половые органы и женскую грудь при родах. В результате Instagram пошел навстречу фотографам.
